Congratulations to our very own Dr. David H. Moisa on the publication of his research in The Journal of Periodontology, a publication put out by the prestigious American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Moisa’s article, entitled: “Impact of connective tissue graft thickness on surgical outcomes: A pilot randomized clinical trial,” was published in the September 2019 edition of the Journal.
It is a study that reviews the impact of the thickness of palatal connective tissue grafts for treatment of gingival recession.
During his training at Columbia University, Division of Periodontics, Dr. Moisa completed over 40 connective tissue grafts in order to complete this study alone. Dr. Moisa has developed much expertise in the field of soft tissue grafting as well as other aspects of Periodontics including placement of dental implants, sinus grafting, and treatment of periodontal disease and served as a faculty member at The Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, teaching all these procedures to his students.
